Why put an ATM in your store

How ATMs really work

  1. Card in. A customer inserts a card and enters a PIN and amount.
  2. Connect. The ATM connects through a processor to the card network and the customer’s bank.
  3. Approve. The customer’s bank checks the account and approves it.
  4. Cash out. The machine dispenses cash; the account is debited for the amount plus the surcharge.
  5. Settle. The processor settles the funds, and the surcharge is split as the agreement says.
Example split$3.00 fee → $1.50If a $3.00 surcharge were split 50/50, you’d get $1.50 per withdrawal. Example only; your share is set in your agreement.

Questions store owners ask

What does it cost me?

Under a placement agreement, typically nothing for the machine or its service. Exact terms are in your written agreement.

How much can I earn?

It depends on how many people use it and the surcharge. See the example split above. It's not a promise of income.

Who maintains it?

I do, for the machines I place, as set out in the agreement.

What space and power does it need?

A small footprint near a standard outlet, plus an internet or cellular connection. I'll help you pick the spot.

How long is the agreement?

It depends on the agreement. I go over the term with you before you sign.

What if it breaks?

Call or text me. Service details are in the agreement.

Is it safe?

Cash is locked inside, and every withdrawal is approved by the customer’s bank over secure networks. I'll help you put it somewhere visible.

How do I get started?

Send a message with the form below and I'll come look at your location.

Mark Brazier, founder. I spent 24 years in lending. I know what a fair contract looks like, and that's what you'll get. I run this on faith and honest dealing.
